1.Inspector Engineer realizing the inspection of the construction of 115 KV and 38 KV underground circuits in the metropolitan area of San Juan and Santurce, Puerto Rico for developing alternate path circuits for the back-up of the transmission and sub-transmission system of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. Team composed of a civil engineer and an electrical engineer to inspect both aspects of the construction, along with a supervisor (Project Engineer) to oversee the project.
Daily inspection of the construction of 115 KV and 38 KV underground circuits to assure projects are conforming to design criteria.
Daily and weekly reports with pictures of the work being performed
Weekly Construction Operations meetings to review progress made by contractor and to review proper procedures following engineering standards to assure quality design.
RFI’s, Non-conformances, etc.
Safety inspections of construction procedures and working personnel following OSHA requirements.
Maintenance of close working relationship with Company’s Engineering Staff in order to assure achievement of performance objectives.
2. Inspector Engineer performing the inspection of the construction of a wet and dry recreational park for children at the “Albergue Olimpico” in Salinas, Puerto Rico, including buildings, grounds, water systems, electrical systems and play structures.
Daily inspection of contractor work to assure compliance of design.
Working with contractor personnel to provide solutions to installation problems.
Review of drawings schematics to learn specifications of design.
3.Resident Engineer in the inspection of a civil construction project: water pipeline for customer service in the rural area of Juncos, Puerto Rico . Daily progress reports, pictures of work performed, RFI’s, Non-conformances, etc..
4.Project Engineer realizing the supervision of electrical projects in the area of San Juan, Puerto Rico, to make certain they were following the design specifications. Duties included ordering material and/ or equipment necessary for the job, assigning crews to work on the job, contacting sub-contractors and coordinating work to be performed, calculations of material to be used, logging of work realized, meetings with other contractors and sub-contractors, etc.
Internship: U.S. Department of Energy, Golden, Colorado: 06/98-09/98
Evaluation and rating of Renewable Energy Research Projects at the Golden office in Colorado. Projects included Photovoltaic, Wind Power and Bio-mass technologies.
Review of designs with Senior Engineer to determine feasibility of the projects in order to determine if they would qualify with D.O.E. requirements for funding under the different D.O.E. grant programs.
