Responsibilities include:
Understanding drawings the production and conveying it to the technician.
Review of codes, specification and acceptance criteria of client.
Review of Quality Assurance plan.
To study the P&ID and isometric drawing received from the clients and to identify the pipe lines and carry out the inspection work.
Check flow direction arrows on valves; verify that they are properly identified and valves are installed in accordance with flow direction.
Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawings and the pipe support details.
Line check to verify the use of correct material fittings, valves, and supports, prior to hydrotest and prepare punch list for incomplete works, check and closing after the work is done.
Monitor welder performance.
Prepare weekly reports of the total welded diameter inches of supports and joints and the remaining work front with the materials available.
Co-ordinate with the subcontractors to achieve the targets and schedule set by the planning.
Monitor whether correct work permit is issued as per the job and HSE requirements.
Random visual inspection of the welding at site and fabrication yard.
Review of daily inspection reports.
To review and accept Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) reports.
Radiography Interpretation.
Preparation of internal punch list.
IMIR clearance.
Loop files status and its clearance.
Prepared NDT reports.
Complete QC documentation.
Successfully rectifying the OQA.
Interface with various contractors and client.
Build-up of safety attitude among staff, technicians, welders and helpers.
