WORK EXPERIENCE

I am currently completing a Project search internship programme at Charing Cross Hospital. Project search is s model on supported internship which allows study and work in a real work setting and allows the development of existing skills and learn new ones, allowing them to try different jobs and gain new experiences and skills.

Jan 2020 – March 2020 Amigos Charing Cross Hospital NHS

My placement in Amigos at Charing Cross hospital while on Project search helped me to gain experience in retail. My duties included customer care and interaction. I particularly enjoyed meeting customer needs by assisting patients and customers who came into Amigo which is a busy environment. I assisted them to find products, told them about the products and generally helped to make their experience an easy and pleasant one. I also unloaded stock which was delivered, did stock rotation by moving stock around and stock replenishment. I ensured the store was kept clean and tidy. I was also undertaking training on the tills, but due to CAVID 19 this was curtailed.

I am an avid Lego fan and am very passionate about everything concerning sales and meeting the needs of customers. I am a good team player and care about my colleagues.

Sept 2019 – Jan 2020 Oncology - Charing Cross hospital

My first rotation was in Oncology. My duties included updating patients’ files and printing address labels, sticking them on the blood & urine bottles and kits, making up the information packs to be included in the kits and delivering the kits to the post room to be mailed out to patients.

· Worked as a member of the kitchen staff, communicated with various personality types.

Hobbies and Interests

I have been a keen Lego fan from a young age with a great enthusiasm for building and helping others to construct the sets, explaining the stories and thinking up new ideas and themes for sets in the future. I am also passionately interested in comic books, graphic art and science fiction and enjoy writing my own creative fiction. I also enjoy going to see films with family and friends, playing video games and taking regular exercise at the gym.
