Worked to implement High Pressure coolant on existing twin turret CNC lathes. This project had been in process for over a year Implemented in 1 month. Reverse engineered a number of tooling components that had not been previously documented using Solidworks. Maintained documentation to insure that parts are being manufactured to Swagelok standards and to fulfill customer requirements.

Developed an automated test procedure that gave very stable results and the results were not operator dependent. This test also utilized an automated data acquisition system.

Manufacturer of Patterns for sand castings and Plastic injection molds. Tightly integrated application of solid models (Solidworks), CAM (Anvil), and DNC are used to produce the patterns and molds.

Solicited contract engineering work and training. Obtained various short-term and engineering positions. Including ISO implementation, project engineer, and designer. Received 6 months of training for CNC Programming at Cleveland Manufacturing Project (CAMP).
While in training at CAMP developed a fixture for a 4 axis mill That was used to machine a gear box body and cover in one operation
oBoth the body and the cover were machined on a 4 axis horizontal mill in one operation the machine cycle was 45 minutes
oThis assembly could be machined in small lots as needed

Improved the quality of one part from 4% rejected parts to .25%.
Learned how GM looked at the process flow to determine where bottle necks occurred because of capacity imbalances and how this affected pricing.

Managed release of production product in 8 months instead of the normal 18 months. .
No customer rejects after 2 years of production.
GM 3.1 valve cover Plastic- Aluminum
Developed returnable packaging to minimize shipping damage.
Reduced product returns from 2% to .025%.
These efforts resulted in contract for the production of this product in alternate material.
