Project Description 3D printed 9 different DMD models of Inconel 626 material on stainless steel plate.
Studied the SEM structure of these models individually.
Out of the 9 models, only 4 of them showed identical microstructure with traditionally manufactured parts.
These 4 models were suitable for production of metallic parts with strength equal to injection molding process.
Concluded that additive manufacturing products can show similar strength as that of conventional manufacturing process.
