PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Industrial Engineer, Custom Service Plastics, USA Oct’ 2017 – Present
Company based on Custom Injection Molding Plastic Parts for customers like Case New Holland, Navistar, Bergstrom, Snap-On & so on
Worked as a Product Development lead for $2 Million transfer project from Bergstrom and received appreciation award from the customer for completing the project within budget and in-time
Worked and developed a setup process for the setup technicians which helped in 25% reduction of start-up rejects ($230,000 dollars in scrap savings annually) and helped in less consumption of raw materials for start-ups (Lean Manufacturing)
Implemented a robust process flow throughout the organization which includes the movement of raw materials in the production floor to the machines & shipping finished products to the customer
As part of the cross-functional training team, attained solid knowledge in Materials Resourcing, Planning & Scheduling & Shipping
Developed new procedures & instructions for Operational, Shipping, Purchasing & Shipping departments
Implemented Cost Reduction program for the raw materials which helped the company in total savings of about $300,000 annually
Active leader in one of the Continuous Improvement projects which is based on increasing the overall efficiency of the company by reducing the total number of setups, producing quality products and making shipments On-Time to the customer
Possess excellent knowledge in IQMS Plastic ERP software which includes creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) for any new product launch. Given training to any new recruits on this ERP platform. Assisted the maintenance team in using MRO module, which was introduced during Q4,2019
Created & implemented 4 stages of APQP process for any new product development processes
Worked as a team member in the creation of more robust tool build process for new molds
Rolled out departmental KPI’s for Operations, Purchasing & Engineering
Worked closely with the purchasing manager on implementing Inventory management processes
Rolled out 5S ideas and techniques for Raw Materials, Mold and Finished goods storage areas
Active member of the Internal Quality Audit Team. Trained under IATF 16949
Performed everyday Job Verification audits plantwide to ensure the plant is running at highest efficiency
Described, Developed & Evaluated PFMEA & Control Plan for every new products/transfer job
Production and Development Engineer, Beacon Industries Inc, USA June’ 2017 – Aug.’ 2017
Tier 1 aerospace and aviation manufacturer of Turbine disks, Compressor Hubs, Rings, and Propeller Shafts for Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, Paradigm and Siemens
Hand-on experience on design and development for manufacturability & inspectability and generating design assurance documentation for the same
Reduced the lead time of the production by implementing value stream mapping there by reduced the optimum cost
Changed the sequence in turning operation to the best utilization of the machine which helped in automating the machine during non-working hours that helped in increasing the production rate from 35% to 85%
Worked on various testing process in turning operations and coordinated product evaluation
Highly familiar with drafting standards, geometric dimensions and tolerances and reading blueprints
Implemented lean manufacturing methodology to reduce the lead-time, inventory and wasting of scraps used in the production of Hub-Compressor Rotors and propeller shafts in aircraft engines
Active participant of the continuous improvement team that generates protocols for testing/analyzing the product better
Preparing and implementing effective production plan and scheduling for manufacturing of hub compressor rotor and propeller shafts
By using root cause analysis technique enhanced the process of machining in CNC lathes and speeded up the machining process
Implemented DFMEA technique and increased the quality of production by attaining less than 3.6 DPMO

ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Capital Budgeting Simulation Project The objective of this project is to test the performance of the ranking methods in the “realistic” environment. Seven ranking methods such as Payback, NPV, IRR, AW, AW/FC, NPV/FC and Random were used for selecting the cost-efficient projects. Microsoft Excel VBA was used for coding the ranking methods and the projects are simulated based on the effective ranking methods.
Goal Programming for Weight Gain and Weight Loss By using one of the concepts of linear programming, this project features about dieting requirements for weight loss and weight gain for both men and women. Microsoft Excel Solver tool was used for programming the dieting requirements and this project has the schedules to make use of dieting options effectively.
Ergonomic Design of Wrench Handle Designed handle for the mechanical wrench to give more comfort while handling the tool, which reduces the injuries caused due to discomfort and it is designed with ergonomic guidelines. SolidWorks tool was used for modeling the wrench handle and simulated the design with the help of motion simulator. 3D printing helped us to create a prototype which helped in analyzing the designed handle with respect to ergonomic guidelines.
Semi-Automatic Bevel Gear Door Mechanism Designed semi-automatic bevel gear door mechanism for a ship container using Pro E Wildfire 5. The main objective of the project is to redesign the door mechanism for the shipping container and re use it for other purposes like portable houses and cafeterias.
