Greet and room patients upon completion of registration. Obtain vital signs and document objective and subjective signs and symptoms the patient is experiencing as well as the general reason for the visit. Provide information and educate patients regarding diagnosis as requested by the physician at completion of their appointment. Teach and collect various laboratory tests including h.Pylori breath test, glucose breath test, various stool tests, 24 hour urine and urinalysis tests. In addition to providing laboratory processing of samples, perform venipuncture for any blood testing ordered by the physician as well as giving recommended immunizations. Document all necessary medical information into EMR. Create patient schedules for required follow up care including bloodwork, infusions, colonoscopies, and other pertinent testing. Provide telephonic assistance to patients needing clarification or further teaching regarding physician orders. Assist physicians during patient exams when necessary. Provide individualized patient support and advocate for patients when necessary and at all times maintaining patient privacy.
