Design & Development of Full Form Relieved Shell Type Involute Spline Round Broach Oerlikon Graziano Transmission Samvardhana Motherson Innovative Solutions Ltd.

Involved in design & development of form relieved involute spline round broach.

Main objective was to generate component profile after broaching with accuracy in quality class of 8 as per DIN 3962.

Designed shell of inter-spaced teeth (both ID & OD cutting alternate teeth). Profile analysed by simulation of form relieved spline teeth in profile grinding. Based on results of simulation, proper gullet profile and grinding wheel profile selected.

Created Solid 3-D model & assembly of both shell and broach. Forces acting on teeth while cutting profile are calculated. FEA Stress analysed to study effects on tool geometry and deformation during actual metal cutting.

Machines Operational Availability (Up Time) Improvement on Automobile Engine Cylinder Block Machining Line Machines

“Design and development of setup for part inspection process “Inspection Arrangement for Component Oil Nozzle”

B.E. Project Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, Aurangabad This project was sponsored Starways Engineers Pvt. Ltd. MIDC, Waluj, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

Error proofing (Poka Yoke) were developed in inspection process for the component ‘oil nozzle’ which is used in oil injector for lubrication purpose in 3-wheeler automobile.

Designed and developed fixture for component to inspect at a time 10 parts.

Performed 3D modelling and prepared 2D GD & T drawing of designed fixture.

90% rejection reduced from vendor, Zero customer complaint from day one, inspection time, fatigue as well as inspection manpower reduced.
