- To review and update the technical specifications for procurement.
- Offer review and Technical Bid Evaluation for procurement of all piping / pipeline materials required for various ongoing projects (new and modification) in Ulfa, Shahd, Saiwan and Farha fields and their interconnections.

ENGINEERING FOR SAIH RAWL COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT
In Saih Rawl gas field of PDO, PDO is operating an open cycle power plant. It contains a GE Frame 9E gas turbine generator with a rated power output of 102MW. In order to utilize the waste heat of the turbine exhaust and thereby enhance the power output, PDO has decided to convert it into a combined cycle power plant. TRE’s scope of work in the same project is to carry out the detail engineering of the project including the selection of the package vendors and working hand in hand with them. The self has worked as the lead piping engineer for the same project.
ENGINEERING OF ZAULIYAH GAS PLANT
This is a greenfield project taken up by PDO to set up a plant to cater the Hasirah and Hawqa fields located in Central Oman, Bhaja Rima area for the purpose of separation, gas conditioning and crude stabilization. The plant is coming up just by the side of the Zauliyah Production Station and is having a capacity of handling 1.2mmscmd. The self has worked as the piping lead engineer for the same project.
FEED ENGINEERING FOR ONSAG BURIED P/L FOR QP
This was mainly a pipeline replacement project for which FEED has been carried out by TRE. The project scope involves the replacement of an aged 30” onshore stripped associated gas pipeline along with the associated piping modification in the connecting stations. The self has worked in the project as the Lead Piping Engineer.
ENGINEERING OF ZAULIYAH GAS COMPRESSION PROJECT – PHASE – III
PDO had taken up this project mainly to replace the presently running Exterran gas lift compressors in the Zauliyah Production Station which are taken on lease basis and the lease period would end by the year 2014. The project scope involved the installation of a main gas lift compressor (as substitute to the presently running Exterran compressor), installation of a gas conditioning unit and a booster compressor station for the supply of sales gas and replacement of a pair of condensate pumps. The project has come up as an annexure to the Zauliyah Production station and the new facilities are located outside the present ZPS fence area. The self has worked as the piping lead engineer for the same project. The project has been commissioned by the year 2014.
ENGINEERING OF MARMUL HEATER REPLACEMENT PROJECT, MARMUL
This project was taken up by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for the purpose of replacing the existing 10 numbers of crude oil heaters (for the purpose of demulsification, which are very old and almost the life span is exhausted) with new heaters in the Marmul area. This involves the development of a new heater area, a lot of new piping, new pipe racks and the modification of the routings of the associated piping to be hooked onto the system. The self is acting as the piping lead engineer for the ongoing project.
DEVELOPMENT OF PIPING SPECIFICATIONS FOR OCCIDENTAL OMAN, NORTH FIELD
The self remained involved in developing specifications for all the piping materials for Occidental of Oman. The specifications are intended to be used for procurement of the piping items for all the upcoming new as well as for upgrading the existing facilities of North Oman field being operated by Occidental of Oman.
FEED FOR INJECTION OF KHUFF GAS TO ARAB-D GAS CAP USING NORTH FIELD INJECTION STATION
Responsibilities Included : Piping Lead Engineer
This FEED project was awarded to TRE by QP. The objective of the overall project was to inject Khuff gas from WHTP’s H, L, and D into Arab-D gas cap during non-availability of North Field gas, using QP’s NFIS compressors. This was required to maintain the reservoir pressure to enable sustained production of oil from Arab-D reservoir.
EPC FOR ADCO SAHIL AND SHAH FULL FIELD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, ABU DHABI
Responsibilities included: Piping Lead Engineer for Stress Analysis and Supporting
The project was a huge project being implemented by ADCO (project scope worth approximately USD 1.5bn) for the development of the above mentioned fields.
Self was responsible for guiding and managing group of Engineers, designers for carrying out flexibility analysis and supporting of the units being designed by TRE Oman in collaboration with TR Madrid.

EPC OF MARMUL ‘A’ STATION EXPANSION PROJECT FOR PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT OF OMAN
In Marmul, there are three main oil reservoirs namely Al-Khalata (AK), Haima (West (HW) and East (HE)) and Gharif (South Rim (GSR) and North Rim (GNR)). Water injection is being implemented to counter the trend. The injection results in a slower production decline and better oil recovery.
Self remained involved in checking critical piping isometric drawings and stress analysis reports for all the critical lines performed in CAESAR II. Involved in performing pipe wall thickness calculation as per ASME B31.3, Involved in preparing Request for Quotation, TQ-TBA, Purchase order specification and Vendor drawing review for all the piping bulk items, valves and piping speciality items. This project was implemented using PDS 3-D modeling software. Planning, prioritising and organising tasks and activities, time management, self and team. PRE-FEED/CONCEPT STUDY FOR ABU BUTABUL FIELD DEVELOPMENT FOR BG OMAN
British Gas has been awarded Block 60 in Oman for Exploration and production under which TR Engineering is performing Feasibility and conceptual studies.
Activities Performed:
• Development of Overall Plot Plan for the Field Development.
• Developed GRE and basic piping specification for cost estimation.
• Client interaction and site visits for finalization of conceptual equipment arrangement in the plot.
ENGINEERING SERVICE CONTRACT FOR OCCIDENTAL MUKHAIZNA LLC
As a Lead Engineer, carried out all the activities required for the DD and construction support and hooking up of the various wells (Producer wells, steam injector wells etc) to the existing network. This includes complete engineering including layout finalization, stress analysis and material procurement activities for flowline routings, hooking with headers or manifolds, installation of Fuel gas treatment skids etc.

This Project is launched by M/s Agip / KCO as an experimental programme project for developing the Kashagan Oil Field in the Caspian region of Kazakistan and if successful a number of such units are likely to come up upto the year 2020. For the currently ongoing projects, i.e. Train-1, 2 & 3, the role of the self has been to lead a team of Material Engineers to prepare Inquiry Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluation and the Preparation of Purchase Requisitions and reviewing of the vendor drawings for the Piping Items involved.
SALAM GAS TRAIN 3 & 4 PROJECT FOR M/S KHALDA PETROLEUM COMPANY, EGYPT
This Project for M/s Khalda Petroleum Company is aimed at expanding the capacity of Gas production and is an extension to the already existing Gas trains – 1 & 2. The role of the self is right from the preparation of Inquiry Requisitions to Technical Bid analysis, preparation of Purchase Requisition and Vendor drawing review of all the Piping items. Self was also involved in compressor area layout coordination and supervision for producing piping deliverables.
HARWEEL CLUSTER PHASE-II FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT PROJECT; PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT OMAN
This project is taken up by M/s PDO, Oman for the purpose of giving a boost to its oil production capacity. The self has worked as Material Engineer in the project and was responsible for the procurement of the materials related to the pipeline portion of the same, starting from the preparation of specifications to preparation of Inquiry Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluation, Purchase Requisitions and review of drawings submitted by Vendor for those items. The project has been executed on the basis of Shell standards and specifications, and the self got well familiarized with Shell standards and practices in the course of working with the same project.

Worked on deputation on behalf of M/s EIL and remained completely and single handled responsible for starting from making the Purchase Requisition to Technical Bid Evaluation and giving recommendation for purchasing of the materials required mainly for the following projects:
Major overhaul of two Crude Oil Storage tanks (Tank nos.-7 & 11) of about 80m diameter at Das Island (Abu Dhabi, Client – ADMA-OPCO).
GG II Depressurization Project (For Gas Gathering Platform no.-II in Zakum West Super Complex, Abu Dhabi) – involving Modification / Re-routing of existing pipework and installation of inventory isolation / Emergency Shut Down valves (Client – ADMA-OPCO) etc.
Refurbishment of tank no. TJA 19 and miscellaneous other works at Jabel Dhanna, Abu Dhabi (Client – ADCO).

The main responsibility of the job lies in carrying out flexibility analysis and supporting, spring and special support design, for the piping involved. Flexibility analysis carried out for critical piping involving pumps, air-coolers, heaters, columns etc.
PETRONET CCK PIPELINE, OF M/S PETRONET INDIA LIMITED
For this 18” / 14”, 295Km long pipeline, which was executed on LSTK basis, EIL provided project management consultancy services. The self was part of the team deputed at site to closely monitor the progress and the quality of the constructional activities. The responsibilities involved included inspection of all the jobs related to pipelines–from stringing/trenching, welding/ radiography to lowering, cathodic protection etc.
Also remained involved with the day to day constructional activities related to piping at the terminal stations/tap off-points.
DHDS-SRU PROJECT OF VISAKH REFINERY OF M/S HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORPORATION LTD., VISAKHAPATNAM, INDIA
This job was also carried out on LSTK basis with EIL being the project management consultant. The self worked with the team of the construction engineers supervising the quality of the piping work and provided technical support wherever trouble cropped up with piping related activities.
SRU-NUMALIGARH PROJECT OF M/S NUMALIGARH REFINERIES LIMITED, NUMALIGARH, ASSAM, INDIA
Joined this project at a later stage of the designing of the same. Remained involved with both flexibility analysis/supporting and material take-off.

These projects were carried out on LSTK basis where EIL played the role of the project management consultant. The responsibility of the self remained in reviewing the documents relating to stress analysis submitted by the contractor.
