Established an internal career center directed at the organization’s ability to “groom & grow” staff. This program was designed to positively attract and retain staff. This program was ultimately named a “Best Practice” in the Catholic Healthcare Initiatives System.
Established a state of the art human resource function that produced policies, new handbooks, coordinated training associated with new policies ensuring that management and staff understood those policies for which they would be held accountable. This clarity helped improve employee satisfaction with staff having a better understanding of what they were accountable for.
Enhanced supervisors understanding of legal requirements as they relate to Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA - payment of overtime etc.) thereby dramatically reducing the organizations exposure to Department of Labor investigations.
Responsible for writing, communicating and administering Affirmative Action Plans (AAP) that passed Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program (OFCCP) on site audits. This was the first AAP developed within the organization as a result of federal reimbursements.
Assisted in the design, implementation and conversion to a Paid Time Off (PTO) system, which better controlled/monitored employee non-productive time.
Maintained budgetary accountabilities for staffing, benefits and organization recognition and recreation programs.
