SKILLS SUMMARY IN EXPLORATION & PRODUCTION
I am an extremely hard-working, self-motivated, and passionate Exploration Geoscientist with circa 10 years of experience in the petroleum industry. I have experience working in Exploration and Production Geophysics/Geology working within different exploration teams and projects. I have spent circa 10 years at Tullow Oil looking after multiple licenses located in offshore and onshore basins spread across Africa.
My main skills are:
2D + 3D seismic interpretation – Prospect Generation, Volumetric and Economic Analysis.
New Venture Basin Analysis and Studies – Paleogeographic Reconstruction, Geological Mapping, Seismic to Well-Ties.
Seismic Amplitude Studies – Amplitude Versus Offset Studies, Extended Elastic Impedance Studies.
Property Modelling - Fault Analysis and Structural Modelling, Well Log and Seismic Velocity Modelling.
Production Geophysics and Geology – Writing up Statement of Request & Geological Well Programme Documents for Infill Water & Oil Wells, Extremely Detailed Seismic Interpretation Identifying Un-Swept Reservoir Areas.
I have over the years demonstrated the ability to perform detailed seismic interpretation, assimilate and work efficiently in different teams with a strong capacity for timeous completion of projects, technical report writing and presentation skills, as well as a strong focus on excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS
2009: BSc Hons Geology (Petroleum Stream), University of Cape Town.
2008: BSc Geology and Ocean & Atmosphere Science, University of Cape Town.
WORK EXPERIENCE SEPTEMBER 2010 – APRIL 2020: TULLOW OIL, CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA
GEOPHYSICIST LEVEL 2
Up to April 2020, I have been working as a Senior Geophysicist on a West African Onshore Rift. My tasks included:
Vintage Seismic to well tie working with variable data quality and amplitude issues.
Geological, and geophysical studies. This includes constructing paleo-depositional maps using core descriptions, I have constructed a seismic velocity model using sparse 2D velocities as well as a comprehensive ranked lead inventory with economic evaluation.
2D seismic infill planning. I am working in multi-disciplinary team to design, plan and execute an onshore FTG, 2D-infill seismic as well as a passive seismic survey.
Liaising with government officials and managing JV-partner relations.
Monthly technical report writing and management presentation.
Managing farm-down efforts to reduce equity. Working across offices coordinating with multiple asset team and disciplines.
North West Africa Deep & Shallow Water Seismic Exploration.
I have worked on Mauritania shallow water exploration licenses maturing leads and performing AVO Studies on a high-quality 3D Cube.
West & East Africa New Ventures Basin & New Country Entry Geological/Geophysics Analysis.
I have worked as a Well Delivery Geophysicist on the Jubilee and TEN fields. I was part of a Well Delivery Team tasked with drilling infill wells to meet production deadlines. This multi-disciplinary team perfumed in a high stress environment incorporating a lot of well data to deliver infill wells safely and timeously.
GEOPHYSICIST LEVEL 1 TASKS
North Africa New Ventures & Basin Analysis.
Southern Africa New Ventures and Basin Analysis.
I worked on evaluating the Namibian and South African Basins looking at shallow and deep-water leases for entry opportunities.
West Africa Deep Water Exploration (Seismic Interpretation, Prospect Maturation).
I worked for a New Ventures Team tasked with the evaluation of prospective oil and gas acreage. I had the opportunity to evaluate multiple oil and gas leases in shallow water, deep water, salt and onshore basins in Mauritania, Western Sahara & Morocco.
I then worked as part of an asset team looking after Guinea deep-water exploration tasked with detailed 3D seismic interpretation, 3D velocity model construction, Prospect ranking and maturation.
GRADUATE GEOPHYSICIST TASKS
West Africa Deep Water 3D seismic interpretation, Well-Drilling Monitoring and Seismic to Well Ties.
I was part of an asset team tasked with maturing prospects on a 3D dataset in Ivory Coast as well as being responsible for seismic to well-tie during a multi-well drilling campaign. Experience includes working with a multitude of 3D attributes, AVO Analysis, Extended Elastic Impedance modelling in RockDoc as well as Fault & Structural Modelling in Petrel. During a multi-well drilling campaign in deep-water I was responsible for well monitoring for the asset team including influencing the wellbore trajectory and geological well reports to management.
East Africa Onshore 2D seismic interpretation and prospect maturation.
I have experience working for a team doing appraisal-drilling on the multi-billion-barrel Uganda onshore rift basin. I have as well worked on wildcat exploration of an onshore East African Rift in Madagascar. I was tasked with seismic interpretation and maturing leads into prospects on a difficult 2D seismic dataset. Experience involved creative thinking and integration of regional datasets, Vo K Depth Conversion and Petrel Structural Model construction.
