• English Studies Department (University of KwaZulu-Natal) Position: Assistant Tutor (April-October 2019)

I was assisting the tutor with developing tutorial questions for students for every tutorial seminar and assisting the students with essay writing. I was also responsible for script marking of essays and tests.

2017

• Mobile Universal Shop (February 2017- )

Role: I am the co-founder and responsible for the operation of the shop, my duty is to do the financial books of the shop and be able to do deliveries to customers. Mobile Universal Shop is a mobile service shop where we make deliveries to customers after receiving orders via WhatsApp & Telephone. We are located at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Howard College), and our target market are the university students. We offer snacks and fruits in our mobile shop for students to grab a quick bite.

• IT: Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF Merge/Scanning, Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Photoshop.

• Teamwork: Gained at the Mobile Universal Shop: the co-founders, are responsible for running and doing deliveries throughout the university campus, we also choose hotspots where we do a popup store.

• Leadership, Organisation and Management: Co-founder, treasurer and a runner at the Mobile Universal Shop, I am not only responsible for the books of our shop but also directly involved in the day-to-day running of the shop, like doing deliveries to the customers.

• Teaching and Research: Tutor Assistant in English Studies for first years at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

• Adaptability/Flexibility: Balancing being a university student and being able to be part of a Mobile Universal Shop in university setting.

HOBBIES/ INTERESTS

• Capturing Photos and videos, I am interested in capturing special moments using my mobile phone. I use photo/video editors to create artistic mobile gallery.

• Reading books and novels, it relaxes the mind and improves my Vocabulary/ Music, especially Afro House/ Films
