Summer Internship Dr. M.K.Mondal IIT BHU May '18-July '18 Enhancement of Carbon Dioxide mass transfer using functionalized nanoparticles Iron nano-particles preparation using wet chemical reduction method and their surface characterization(SEM and FTIR).
DEEA+HMDA+nano-particles in wetted wall column were used for absorption of Carbon Dioxide. Absorption time reduced by 42% with increment in absorption capacity by 5%(average). Industrial Internship Hindustan Zinc Limited,Debari May '19-July '19 Tracking and Improvement in Atmospheric Coolers Efficiency Efficiency and air flow rate of coolers were calculated and changes were observed for one week. Mechanical Structure of existing cooler was studied using ANSYS and Pipe Flow Expert. On basis of results, suggested a change in Pipe Support and Nozzle structure to decrease fouling and increase the efficiency of Cooling Tower Efficiency with reduction of wastage of Fan Energy. WGC(Weighted Geometric Center) approach for PID tuning of Industrial Boiler An arbitrary inverse model of Boiler was build using Simulink. WGC for different derivative gain were calculated. Design a PID controller for Distillation Column
Modelling of Distillation Column using mass balance equations. Reflux Ratio was manipulated to get distillate target composition within a range. Doublet input and its response were used to estimate the FOPDT model. PID controller was designed using IMC tuning correlations by FOPDT model parameters. CERTIFIED COURSES
