Taught at Colerain Elementary for 5 years as a Math, Science, and Health teacher.

Educating students to not only meet State requirements but to prepare them to stay on a college track and being productive in the community.

Maintain cumulative files for each student along with a projection sheet of goals mastered for reporting period. Student were able to see what objectives they needed more assistants with and I was able to set up centers in the classroom to help them to master those skills.

Meeting with team members weekly (PLC) and daily to discuss areas in which our teaching strategies needed to be adjusted and enhanced; by using curriculum and other resources.

Work cooperatively with Learning Specialist with parents and independently to find out other ways to help students with learning deficiencies; to help student to meet the goals on their IEP.

Offered tutoring for students that needed extra help, I believe this gave students the extra push to succeed academically and emotionally.

Provide a variety of materials for the children to explore, manipulate and use, in learning activities.

Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students in my care. Prepare materials and classroom for class activities which will facilitate learning.

Able to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students varying needs and interest.
