To expedite all safety work procedure and conduct safety minutes with the construction team to resolve and control safety aspect. Maintain all safety report on maintenance regime and assignment. Safety requirement and policies to comply with the related activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

To coordinate and motivate the safety educational and training programme among workers.

To promptly inculcate the spirit of safety among workers by launching safety campaigns in the form of observing safety weeks and through other audio –visual aids including arranging contents, talks and seminars on safety.

To collect and maintain date and information regarding frequency and severity of accidents.

To identify hazardous task and process as well as hazardous zones in the worker place with suitable demarcation of such zones.

To ensure material arrangements and site access and egress are well maintained and free from any blockage.

To keep in redlines fire –fighting squads, medical support and first aid help for the personal.

To inspect supervise or investigate all news constructions, new procedures, installation of new equipment’s from the point of view of safety.

Accident Investigation and Corrective Action

Ensure the personnel working are geared up with protective equipment’s as instructed like Safety Shoes, Helmet, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Mask / Gas Mask, Eye Protection etc. as per the demand of the working conditions during the span of working hours.

Investigation of the employee’s work activities and of the working environment to which the injury or illness might be related.

Evacuate the area, securing entrances and providing assistance to others on the way out.

Ensure usage of PPE conforming to the laid down standards.

Ensure the proper care, maintenance, validity of life of PPE.

Ensure availability of relevant Firefighting equipment to avert hazard within the factory premises. Ensure proper maintenance and periodical serving followed by checks of all safety appliances.

To ensure suitable plans for working environment based on different weather condition such as summer, winter or rainy season.

Develop and maintain hygiene programs such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, and asbestos management plans.

Inspection of all moving and nonmoving equipment and maintain checklist.

Scaffolding inspection to ensure that they are made as per the applicable standards and specification.

Ensuring STARRT card contains all job related steps, hazard and precautions.

To ensure updated documents for all activities, equipments and lifting gears.

Safety orientation program, fall protection program, confined space entry training and fire watchman training program.

Perform mock drill for emergency situation before any new job starts.
