2018– 2019

OFFICE ASSISTANT (ADMIN)- University of Johannesburg (Lebone ladies residence)

Responsibilities included:

Admin work, filing and registering students, including assisting the residence manager and with sorting out placement for students, allocating rooms to students as well as organizing workshops for the residence (these included Mental health awareness workshops) that help students have a smooth transition from high school level to tertiary.

2017

Student Teacher/ Teacher’s assistant, Leap Science and Math School

I was responsible for drafting lesson plans, and sometimes getting to teach my own class (grade 8s and 10s), I taught Life Orientation (and offered guidance counselling), History and Sports.

Being a hair dresser means I get to work with different personalities every time, communicate, and interact with them on a daily basis.

Volunteered in Non-profit organizations around the Crossroads and Delft community, where I visited old age homes as well as orphanages as a way of giving back to the community

I possess strong leadership skills and qualities, as a result, during my high school years I have always been in leadership positions, from being head girl, head leader at leadership and recruitment camps. Hence I always assume leadership roles, I have a strong personality and very good at delegating tasks as well as working in teams. In my spare time when I am not studying, I spend time giving back to the community, not necessarily materialistic/tangible things but knowledge as well.
