My 18 years of experience is in the hospital setting as well as the outpatient model. My present position is working as a contractor for the US Air Force in a clinic. I am familiar with Picker, Phillips, Siemens and most recently Toshiba/Canon MRI units as well as multiple power injectors and several PACs systems.

Technologist responsible to schedule exams, screen patients prior to exam for patient safety and notify the radiologist of any concerns. Position patient and coil{s} accordingly for best image quality and patient comfort. Give the patient headphones for music and to be able to communicate with patient and make it more comfortable for the patient. Scan patient producing best quality images for the radiologist. Inject contrast agent if prescribed by physician or radiologist. Complete any post processing of the images prior to sending to the PACS for review. Complete exam get patient up and if there are no previous x-rays, shoot any x-ray the radiologist may request. Inform patient the ordering physician will have results in 24 hours.
