Worked as a full time Concessions Design and Stress Engineer for AIRBUS Offshore Delivery Centre. Over the course of one year, was fortunate to have worked under the Stress as well as the Design teams for A330 and A320 Aircraft wings. The additional knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Mechanical CAD at the former job at CADD Mentors, gave the flexibility to the management to be utilized in the Design department as well, without the need for additional tool training. Following are the projects to which contribution has been provided, and the respective responsibilities:

• A330 Concessions (Stress):

Understanding the repair and design solutions for the A330 aircraft wings, and justify the design solutions from the static and fatigue point of view.

Static analysis justification involved checking for the Design Reserve Factors for Net Strength, Bearing Strength and Instability at Non-Conformance.

Fatigue analysis justification involved checking whether the Fatigue Lives meet the design aim.

The above mentioned Reserve Factors and Fatigue Lives are updated based on the Non-Conformances with the use of Airbus’ In-house tools and Spreadsheets, and the resulting values are checked for criticality. 10th-April-2019 to 17th-April-2020

PROJECTS/INTERNSHIPS

• Multiple crops threshing machine:

In June 2018, as the Final year Engineering project, in a team consisting of four members, conceptually designed and fabricated a machine that optimizes the process of deseeding of grains such as Ragi, Wheat and Rice. The machine could be operated manually by foot, without the use of an external power source, for the betterment of local farmers. The machine was designed on the Mechanical CAD Software PTC Creo 3.0.

• Hydraulics and Pneumatics Internship at Bosch Rexroth: Attended the Internship at Bosch Rexroth (CETRAT) in SJBIT, which is an R&D facility established to provide a feel of typical industrial standard training and certification programs. Here, hands-on training was given on Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Drives and Controls, and their uses.

• The Barr and Stroud Engine:

Designed and Assembled the “Barr and Stroud Engine” on SIEMENS’ UG-NX 9 CAD software, and also performed a kinematic simulation (Animation) on the assembly of the same.

• A320 Concessions (Design):

Coming up with the repair and design solutions for the A320 aircraft wings with the use of Airbus’ In-house tools and AutoCAD. Coming up with the best possible solution in the design perspective with respect to the severity of the Non-Conformance by analyzing the entire stack of components affected as per Airbus’ standards.

Developed improved drawing reading skills by locating and indicating the Non-Conformances in the respective Drawing sheets. Developed improved AutoCAD drafting skills by plotting Reference sketches to clearly indicate the severity of the Non-Conformances at the affected locations in the entire stack of components.

• A330 Re-analysis (A330 245t, Stress):

Performing Re-analysis on Concession Stress reports that had previously been worked on A330 242t aircraft wings. The Reserve factors in these reports were to be updated for changes in Materials used and Applied loads in the new A330 245t aircraft wings.

CADD MENTORS KORAMANGALA

CADD Mentors is known for its focus as a pure play Computer Aided Design and Drafting training institute, where Engineering students and graduates were trained to excel in various Mechanical CAD software packages. MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER AND TRAINER

Worked as a full time Mechanical CAD engineer and trainer, where training was given to 15-20 Engineering Students and Graduates on several Mechanical CAD software packages.

• After having joined the Institute as a student, over the course of 2 months, was able to pave my way to be absorbed as a trainer at the very same institute, for showing proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and CATIA tools.

• During the course of imparting training to Engineering Students and Graduates, learnt additional software packages such as UG-NX, Creo and SolidWorks in individual capacity, thus enabling the skills to train students in these software packages as well. This was well appreciated by the management, as it avoided the cost of hiring additional trainers.

• Several steps were taken to improve student enrollment for the courses. Prepared display projects to facilitate increased enrollment. Furthermore, was part of a team that visited Engineering and Diploma Colleges in the vicinity of the institute for marketing purposes, thus developing excellent presentation skills. Was also privileged to have personally helped a student to get placed in a Mechanical Design firm, through personal network.

• The training was based on 2D Drafting, 3D Part modeling and Assembly, Sheet metal design, Surface design and Simulation (On UG-NX). The students were trained on the following CAD software packages:
