Title : Design and analysis of suspension system for Electric two wheeler Description : Reduction in pollution is the main scope for the introduction of electric vehicles. Depending on the drive transmission system used for that can be developed in several ways. One of the transmissions is the hub motor type and this is being taken for study since the efficiency will be more with less number of components as it is directly attached to the wheel. This construction affects the unsprung masses and it also requires the correct form of suspension which is the main parameter to be considered in improving ride comfort. Ride comfort is determined based on the ISO 2631-1 standard method for vehicle body acceleration. The software model of half car model is simulated in the Amesim software and the Rms acceleration of the vehicle is determined for various road profiles. The prototype of the vehicle was done and the Rms acceleration value is found at the running condition using the Single axis accelerometer NI DAQ 9234 and lab view software and the results are compared. And further reduction in the Rms acceleration of the vehicle can be achieved by proper tuning of the suspension system. The results show that the proper tuning of the suspension system of the vehicle has lower vibration and it improves ride comfort of the vehicle. UG project

Title : Effect Of Heat Treatment Temperature on Wear and Hardness Properties of Electro less Ni-P /Tio2Deposits On Mild Steel

Description : In this work the effect of titanium particles on wear and hardness of electro less Ni–P/TiO2 composite coatings deposited on mild steel substrates at different annealing temperatures. Electro less process is an autocatalytic reduction method in which metallic ions are reduced in the solution. Electro less Ni-P-TiO2 coating have been widely used in the chemical process industries, mechanical industries, and electronic industries due to their excellent mechanical properties. In the present work, deposition of Ni-P alloy coating and Ni-P-TiO2 micro composited coatings were done on the mild steel and hardness properties were studied. Microstructure changes and composition of the composite coating are studied with the help of scanning electron microscopy
