Currently working in AlNasr Contracting in CoEx Overlay Infrastructure works - Expo 2020 Project as Jr.HSE Engineer, the main scope of work include but not limited to includes installation / construction of infrastructure of the development including the road network, storm & sewerage water drainage, street lighting, potable water systems, sewerage network, firefighting network, electrical network, telecommunications network, CCTV duct network, internal security duct, gas network and 11KV network and carparking.

Key Responsibilities and Abilities

Ensure the HSE implementation of the projects with approved project HSE plan, Expo 2020 assurance standards requirements, client, consultant requirements & following the guidelines of statutory regulation of the local self-government, international standards.

Risk assessment in each activity to identify the hazard and ensure safe system of work followed for each activity.

Ensure that Expo H&S assurance standard and Promises are complied by everyone on the project.

Ensure adequate welfare arrangements are in place as per the Expo worker welfare assurance standard.

Conduct daily inspection in assigned areas of responsibility to ensure Implementation and adherence to the procedures set out in HSE plan.

Reporting directly to the project managers on daily activities and recording the reports and events.

Encourage employees to report accidents, near-misses, hazards and suggestions.

Conduct safety training & safety induction to all newly joined employees prior to their introduction to site and ensuring all workers are conversant with the standard procedures associated.

Ensure good housekeeping practices all HSE activities relating with infrastructure works.

Check that all plant and heavy equipment, lifting gears, power tools and hand tools are maintained in good condition and remove any defective items from the work site.

Advice and assist to the project construction team in all HSE issues.

Ensure Toolbox talks are conducted on daily basis prior to commencing of every activeity and also ensure that proper communication and emergency procedures are established in the site.

Ensure all the condition lay down area in the associated PTW is observed with respect to hot /cold /confined space permits etc.

Ensure all personnel are wearing Personnel Protective Equipment’s and its availability as per the regulations.

Activities such as welding, lifting operation, pipe laying, excavation, scaffolding erection/dismantling etc. are supervised to ensure their compliance with standard procedure

Ensuring that all the operatives are competent on each high-risk activity, adequate training delivered to each worker on their tasks.

Conducting Firefighting training (in-house) at various levels as per the latest industrial requirements including fire evacuation procedure.

Periodical inspection of Fire Extinguishers, power tools and hand tools as described in the HSE plan.
