COVER LETTER
I would like to submit my application and resume for the position as advertised by your company. With a successful background in being a buyer and over 4 years of experience in delivering quality sales solutions, I am confident I am a good candidate for the post.
After completing my Matric, I started as a waiter at Nando’s and that’s where I learned a lot about customer service and being a team player. There I learned the basics of the workplace and how to increase sales by upselling. I was soon promoted to the till because I was trustworthy and I am quick to adapt to any new situation. It was not enough for me because I knew it in my heart that I enjoyed selling and convincing people. After 6 months I left the company in search of what I called “my destiny”. I wanted to be in sales. I then later joined Verimark which was a huge steppingstone for me, with whom I have been associated with for 4 years.
I then joined Cash Crusaders in April 2015 to whom I’m still working for. Started as a sales person and floor team leader and was quickly promoted to being a buyer for the store.
My main duty as a buyer is to generate profit for the store by buying quality second hand goods, negotiate buys and forge stronger relationships with clients and move the company forward by maximizing stock for the retail floor to reach set store targets
