• I had the opportunity to assist the then Superintended Engineer and participated in the supervision of various site work such as Scarification of existing surface dressed carriageway, Excavation and removal of unsuitable materials, shaping and compaction to receive additional fill, cutting of potholes to rectangular shapes, laying of binder/wearing course to a compacted thickness of 30mm and 50mm respectively, construction of rectangular line drain of 700x700x150mm thick wall, etc.

• I also had the opportunity to practice with some surveying instruments like tripod stand, leveling staff, plumb bob, tilting level, measuring tape, etc.

• I was thought on the use of software called AutoCAD, and how to prepare the Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME).
