PROJECT OFFICER – WATER SUPPLY & QUALITY
ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER WHO FULLY QUALIFIED TO USE THE PRINCIPLES OF ENGINEERING, SOIL SCIENCE, BIOLOGY, AND CHEMISTRY TO DEVELOP SOLUTIONS TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS. THEY ARE INVOLVED IN EFFORTS TO IMPROVE RECYCLING, WASTE DISPOSAL, PUBLIC HEALTH, AND WATER AND AIR POLLUTION CONTROL. I WAS CARRYING OUT WATER QUALITY TESTING AND ANALYSIS OF WATER OBTAINED FROM THREE MAIN SOURCES: GROUNDWATER, SURFACE WATER (LAKES, RIVERS, PONDS, ETC.), AND DRINKING WATER. WHICH INCLUDED AND NOT LIMITED FOR COLLECTING AND TESTING WATER SAMPLES USING APPROVED BIOLOGICAL, CHEMICAL AND OTHER SCIENTIFIC TESTING PROCEDURES, PROVIDING SOLUTIONS ON IMPROVING AND MAINTAINING WATER QUALITY, INSPECTING AND REPORTING ON WATER POLLUTION ISSUES, AND PROVIDING EXPERT ADVICE ON THE PREVENTION OF POLLUTION, CONTAMINATION AND THE SAFE RELEASE OF SEWAGE AND INDUSTRIAL EFFLUENTS INTO LOCAL WATER ENVIRONMENTS. ALSO, I WAS IN CHARGE OF MONITORING AND OVERSEEING THE OVERALL SUPPLY OF WATER IN ZAATARI CAMP DISTRICTS. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO WATER QUALITY CONTROL, FAIR DISTRIBUTION OF WATER AT THE USER-POINT LEVEL, FOLLOW-UP OF COMPLAINTS AND PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY/DISTRICT MEETINGS AND FORUMS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CONDUCTING WATER SAMPLING AND TESTING, AND OF COLLECTING MICROBIOLOGICAL TEST RESULT FROM THE LABORATORY. IN COLLABORATION WITH WATER TESTER AND WATER FIELD SUPERVISOR MONITORS THE RESULTS OF THE FREE RESIDUAL CHLORINE TESTS CONDUCTED BY OTHER STAFF, FOR ANY WATER QUALITY INCIDENT PARTICIPATING IN A RAPID RESPONSE FOLLOWED BY REPORT AND DOCUMENT CREATION.
CONDUCT FREE CHLORINE TESTING AT PUBLIC WATER POINTS, WASH CENTERS, POINT OF USE INSIDE CARAVANS, SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, AND ALL THE NGO’S THAT PROVIDES SERVICES IN ZA’ATARI CAMP, IN KING ABDULLAH PARK CAMP AND CC CAMPS AT DIFFERENT POINTS OF USE ACCORDING TO ESTABLISHED METHODOLOGY AND AGREED SCHEDULE AND ROTATION.
ENSURING ALL WATER TESTING MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT’S ARE STORED AND USED APPROPRIATELY, KEEPING ENOUGH STOCK FOR DAILY NEEDS AND COLLABORATES WITH WATER SUPPLY PROJECT MANAGER AND DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER WATER SUPPLY TO ORDER STOCK.
REPORTING ALL WATER TESTS RESULTS. (WATER QUALITY INCIDENT REPORTS, LAB ANALYSIS REPORTS, MONTHLY REPORTS TO DONOR AND LINE MINISTRIES, WATER TANK DISINFECTION MONTHLY REPORT, GATE MONITOR REPORTS, WATER TESTER ASSISTANT DAILY REPORTS AND ANY OTHER PROJECT REPORTS. REVIEWING CANCELLED AND REJECTED TRUCKS TRIPS AFTER THAT CONTRIBUTES TO FILLING SYSTEM AND ARCHIVING)
PREPARING SANITARY SURVEY REPORT AFTER CONDUCTING IT FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL BOREHOLES.
SUPPORTING ALL TEAM STAFF TO ENSURE THEY ARE COMPLETING DUTIES TO THE FULLEST, ALSO FOLLOWING UP AND CHECKING THE REPORTS AND WORK OF OTHER STAFF IN A SUPPORTING MANNER.

ENTER DATA INTO THE REPORTING SYSTEM AND COLLECTS MISSING DATA.
FOLLOWS-UP ON COMPLAINTS AND SOLVES THEM.
PARTICIPATES IN THE DIFFERENT COMMUNITY MEETINGS AND DISCUSSIONS.
INFORMS THE COMMUNITY OF DELAYS OR PROBLEMS REGARDING WATER SUPPLY.

SUBMITS DAILY AS WELL AS AD-HOC REPORTS ON WATER SUPPLY ISSUES FACED AND SOLVED IN THE FIELD.
REPORTS OTHER ISSUE, INCIDENT, RISKS, OR ANY AD HOC INFORMATION WHICH COULD AFFECT THE PROJECT, STAFF OR DONORS.
