SKILLS AND PROFICIENCIES

To perform radiological procedures as required in accordance with department protocols and follow the regulatory guidelines during radiographic x-ray exposure.

To produce diagnostic image with optimum quality ensuring dose is kept as low as

possible.

To work with all equipments in the department which includes X-ray, computer radiography (CR), CT, MRI, rotation wise and shift basis.

To explain the procedure to patient in effective and understanding manner along with its

complication and benefits.

Perform radiological procedures with the knowledge of effect and adverse effects of contrast media along with the modes of contrast media administration. And follow the departmental allergy protocol in case of adverse reactions to contrast media.

Prepare, carry out and monitor examinations effectively.

To identify artifacts in various modalities and resolve it effectively with appropriate remedy.

To provide day to day clinical supervision

To maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Takes part in on-call service as required

Ensures that the Principles of Radiation Protection are adhered

To Takes part in Routine Daily Inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures and reports any defects or problems either directly to the In-charge,or Bio-medical Engineer
