I am a passionate and self-driven individual with ample experience in the Engineering metallurgy and welding field. I’ve acquired extensive experience in the field of steel manufacturing, quality control, metallographic analysis, welding metallurgy/fabrication and mechanical testing of welds and metallic material. I hold a B-Tech degree in Engineering Metallurgy from the University of Johannesburg and an IIW International welding technologist (IWT) diploma from SAIW.

Southern African institute of welding (SAIW)-Welding consultant 01/05/2017 – to date
Provide professional practical training services to the welding industry. Oversee Qualification and reviewing of welding procedures and welder qualification in accordance to international standard e.g. ISO 15614, ISO 9606, ASME IX, AWS D1.1 ect.
Provide consulting services to industry for the selection of welding processes and troubleshooting welding problems together with the implementation of applicable solutions.
Contracted responsible welding co-coordinator (RWC), for 3834 companies in certification process

Manage day to day activities of the material testing laboratory. Perform and interpret test results in accordance to international standards ie ASME IX, AWS D1.1, EN ISO BS 15614-1 EN ISO BS 9606, ect. Testing includes; tensile testing, micro vickers and Rockwell hardness, charpy V impact, bend testing, and chemical analysis(spectrometer and XRF). Perform NDT as per code requirements. Perform failure analysis, weld analysis and metallographic analysis. Implement and maintain ISO 17025 quality management system. Technical signatory to the laboratory. Supervise and mentoring of in-service training students.Assist welding consultants in witnessing and drawing up welding procedure when required.
