15+ years of professional experience of administrative work under World Bank funded Project "Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan"(now renamed as Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan") in the Department of School Education, Government of Punjab.

Experience

Working as Deputy Manager for the "Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Project" (now renamed as Samagra shiksha) under Department of School Education, Government of Punjab from 11.07.2008 to till date. Prior to that has worked as Assistant Manager from 21.03.2005 to 10.07.2008 for the same organization.

Responsibilities

Formulation of the Annual Work Plan & Budget of the state as per guidelines of Government of India in coordination with district level teams and State level team.

Ensuring execution of approved annual work plan and budget within timeframe by allocating the work to concerned officers.

Monitoring of the approved annual budget for utilizing it in a time bound manner and on prioritized activities.

Analysis of data related to Department of School Education Punjab and uploading this data on National level portals.

Dealing various type of correspondence related to State Government, Central government and other organizations.

Preparing Demi Official Letters and other formal letters for Central authorities such as Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Preparation of PowerPoint Presentations for important meetings held at Ministerial level in the State and at National level.

Preparing the Annual report of the project and various other reports as required by State government and Center government from time to time.

Coordinating with all other branches/units of the department. Circulating the correspondence received from other departments/Organizations to concerned branches/units and seeking the requisite information/ Action taken Report. Compiling and editing the collected information and sending the reports to concerned departments/Organizations.

Discharging the responsibility of preparing agendas of various meetings and organizing the meetings. Recording, preparing and circulating the minutes of these meetings.

Replying the telephonic calls and email messages of internal officers and external officers/departments.

Initiating/preparing the manual and Electronic files for different subjects and maintaining filing system.

Collecting the data from State officers & district authorities and its compilation for ascertaining the outcomes/progress against targets.

Planning, Budgeting, Implementation and Monitoring of various sub-programmes of the project viz: hostels for girls from Elementary Education to Secondary Education level and distribution of Uniforms to all government school students at Elementary Level.

Ensuring compliance of Right to Information Act and providing sought information to all applicants as per provisions of this act.

Preparing replies for financial issues like Audit Paras as raised by Comptroller and Auditor General of India and Statutory auditors.

Preparing replies for Parliamentary and Assembly questions related to the department of School Education Punjab.

Execution of State level centralized tender for procurement of uniforms for Government school students at Elementary level.

Academic Qualification

Bachelor in Commerce from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 2001 with 62%.

Masters in Business Administration from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 2003 with 67%.

Registered as Associate member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India in 2019.
