Asbeco - Chino, CA

Worked as a team in tear down of failed conveyors. Installed new conveyors and chutes and established correct coordinates for center lines and elevation using chalk lines, plumb bob and lasers. Stitched conveyor belts and adjusted tensioner after installation. Fabricated stands/legs for conveyor chutes to be welded.

Universal Plant Services - Coffeyville, KS

Assisted Millwrights in complete tear down and overhaul of three Reciprocating Compressors. Replaced pistons, packing seals, valves, valve caps as well as suction and discharge bottles. Recorded all readings and set precision clearances on all newly installed parts to manufacturer specifications. Removed failed turbine and installed a newly rebuilt turbine to take its place. Troubleshooted a centrifugal pump to find the volute and pump skid had cracked from vibration. Removed the pump as well as chipped out the pump base of all the worn grout. Built forms and poured fresh grout around pump skid after installation. Performed shaft alignment on pump using Rotalign alignment tool. Millwright, 03/2020 to 05/2020

Universal Plant Services - Chocolate Bayou, TX

Assisted millwrights in troubleshooting and diagnostics of an overheating Extruder. Removed gearbox for access to the heads. Removed the heads to be cleaned. Cleaned barrel and replaced the screw after head removal. Installed freshly cleaned parts and set all clearances to manufacturer specifications using hand and precision tools.

Assisted Millwrights in removal and new installation of acid pumps while under breathing air. Removed and replaced mechanical parts during rebuild of numerous pumps including bearings, seals and impellers. Installed newly rebuilt pumps and performed shaft alignments on all pumps using a Rotalign shaft alignment tool. Removed four Hydrogen Cyanide pumps and disassembled pumps for cleaning to have sent off for rebuild. Replaced a worm gearbox and recorded all readings using precision tools. Replaced over twenty Fin Fans as well as fan motors. Set pitch on all fans using pitch gauge to manufacturer specifications.

Assisted one other Millwright in removal of nine lift pumps, installed new lift pumps and installed vertical motors on all pumps. Set coupling gap and performed alignments on newly installed lift pumps using dial indicators to manufacturer specifications. Built new forms and installed around pump bases for new grout finish.

Reciprocating Technology Services - Pontiac, IL

Assisted Millwrights and company representative in troubleshooting piston failure on an Enterprise brand natural gas engine. Replaced piston, piston rings, piston liner and spring tensioned rings. Replaced rocker arms and lifters on each head of the engine. Discovered metal particles in the crankcase during removal of old, contaminated oil and found that the drive chain tensioner roller bearings had failed. Disassembled the tensioner and replaced bearings and reset tension on the chain. Cleaned oil filter drum and replaced all filters. Set precision clearances on all parts to manufacturers specifications.

Assisted Millwrights in shutdown completion of pump, gearbox and motor alignments. Worked as a team to install a Kadant drum filter. Set precision clearances on machines to manufacturer specifications.
