1.Coronary Care Unit
Staff Nurse
Provide specialized and advanced medical care for patients suffering from various types of heart problems and those who underwent cardiovascular surgeries and procedures. Patients who are hospitalized due to life-threatening ailments such as coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, angina, heart dysrhythmias and myocardial infarction.
Skilled in basic and advanced cardiac life support. Set up and monitor medical equipment and devices such as cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators and alarms, oxygen delivery devices, transducers, and pressure lines.
Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, endotracheal intubation and extubation, and emergency tracheostomy.
Administer medications intravenously, by injection, orally, through gastric tubes, or by other methods
2.Medical Unit
Staff Nurse/ Charge Nurse/Officer-in-Charge
Implement patient care for up to 6-7 patients per 8 hour shift which includes medication schedules, all documents and reports. Ensure patient care meets established Joint Commission International (JCI) standards.
Facilitate patients’ admissions and discharges. Medical unit admits patients from ER, ICU’s, OR, Direct admissions and hospital transfer.
Assess patient status and notify physicians of clinical changes. Interact with other departments and centers regarding patient care. Collaborated effectively with an interdisciplinary team of medical and health care professionals comprised of a physician, nurse manager, dietitian, social worker, case manager, and physical therapist.
Perform clinical tasks (Gastric Feeding, Suctioning, IVF insertion, Wound care, Blood transfusion, assisting in codes, Manipulation of Infusion pumps, cardiac monitor, mechanical ventilator, etc.) according to hospital policies and standard.
