Financial Officer II (April 2006 to present) – Current Job Duties:
Develops and administers budgets and financial systems
Under minimal supervision managing and have significant authority for the financial operations of the regional campus
Computes and Projects Revenue, oversee regulatory compliance and grants management
Provide monthly analysis of the campus revenue and expenditure accounts and any requested forecasting reports
Make decisions regarding and or use of financial resources
Supervise departmental accounting operations and activities including approval and processing of disbursement requisitions, internal transactions, interaction with vendors and compliance with University bid policy and procedures.
Conduct budget meetings with department chairs in preparation of annual budget

Financial Officer I (April 1996 to March 2006) – Primary Responsibilities: Prepares monthly financial operating statements for divisions. Manages all department accounts, providing analysis of gross expenditures and recommendations for maintaining fiscal stability. Supervises division accounting operations and activities including approval and processing of disbursement requisitions as well as providing financial guidance to support staff. Assists in developing and administering budgets and financial system and monitors adherence to financial policy and procedure. Assures proper accounting for all state, grant, contract and/or revenue accounts. Miscellaneous Responsibilities: Process and prepare journal entries for non-patient care revenue deposits, malpractice billing and general office procedures. Execute other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
St. John AME Church Financial Secretary ( April 2013 to Present)- Primary responsibilities: As the Financial Secretary, I post weekly Sunday collections and reconcile auxiliary account expenses to the General Ledger. Also, I reconcile the monthly bank statement and prepare annual member contribution statements.

Payroll/General Ledger Administrator: Accounts receivable; daily invoicing of sales, orders, keying in freight to orders, processing credits on orders, posting daily sales to the general ledger and verbal communications with customers about orders, etc. Payroll; process weekly, hourly
and semi-monthly payrolls through automated data processing (entering hours, calculating back-dated pay increases, verifying income for employees), and responsible for handling payroll tax deposits. General Responsibilities; assist accounting manager in month-end closing, journal entries, assist in processing commissions for sales representatives, organizing files, filing and other tasks as assigned by the accounting manager and controller.

Payroll Assistant: Assisted in the preparation of biweekly payrolls, process supplemental and salary payrolls. Maintained records of deductions for insurance, credit union, and 401K plan, etc. Administered in helping employees file for retirement benefits, replied to reference checks on former and present employees by phone and mail; communicated various employees’ benefits to employees and assigned employees in filing insurance claims. Responsible for arranging employee personnel files and general filing. Performed and assisted in any other tasks assigned by the human resource director and payroll supervisor.
