Evaluates the work of precasters for the purpose of determining skill level, training needs, and potential for increased responsibility; and serves as a coach to help these employees expand their career opportunities
Serves as a role model for employees with regard to attendance, timeliness, loyalty, mutual respect and support for organizational teamwork and continuous improvement.
Conducts preliminary performance appraisals of crew leaders and crew members and reviews with Supervisors prior to discussing the appraisal with the employee.
Monitors actual production labor costs per panel versus the labor costs established and engages production personnel in problem-solving if a negative trend is identified.
Works with the Production personnel to track and reduce the level of precast product rework and fixes.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining plant safety in accordance with the Safety Manual and the direction of the Safety Foreman.
Works to develop a list of prioritized constructive tasks for Production employees to perform when scheduled production work is delayed or postponed, including review of job training tapes, housekeeping tasks, facility maintenance, recordkeeping, etc.
