Roles and Responsibilities

Involved in the inception of design, manufacturing and Erection of Electric Arc furnace,Laddle Furnace,Continous casting machine,Air separation plant and other Auxillary units supplied by DANIELI.

Involved in the preparation of spares list for smooth operation of the plant.

Involved in the commissioning of Laddle bay crane, Teeming crane & Billet yard crane.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Eleven years hands on experience with Jindal Vijayanagar Steels Limited, a multi billion modern integrated steel plant with 4 MTA Capacity located near Bellary at Karnataka. The plant is supported by captive power plant of 2x130 MW and cryogenic plant with 5000 tonnes per day of Oxygen generation.

Lastly designated as Manager (Maintenance) in Steel Melting shop (Basic oxygen furnace & Continous casting machine)

. Joined the Organisation in May 1997 in Steel Melting Shop.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Involved in the inception of design, manufacture and erection of converter,Continous casting machine & ancillary equipments supplied by MDH Germany

Involved in the detailed engineering, drawing and manufacture of special component required as spares for smooth running of the shop.

Inspection and vendor follow up

Detailing and documentation of future inventory control and spares requirement planning

Preparation of standard maintenance practice for all the job carried out

Planning and execution of modification works for effective and efficient running of the shop.

Was in charge of Lime calcination plant of capacity 300 TPD Supplied by M/s Cimprogetti Italy

Achievements:

Successfully erected and commissioned EOT cranes of Manufactured from Russia, China and Indian make of capacities ranging from 5 T to 300 T from single trolley to double trolley, in a record period of 11 months.

Commissioning of Converter Shop without any hiccups

Carried out major modification work in hydraulic systems to reduce the downtime and spare consumption

Was nominated as member of ISO 9000 and 14000 team of the department

Possess good knowledge in the field of Seven – QC, TPM, TQM and SIX SIGMA based maintenance

Done extensive research to increase the reactivity level in the lime produced

Carried out major modification work to avoid boulder formations in the Kiln
