●Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical systems and components of machinery and equipment
●Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with codes

Mill
●Support the commission and start up activities through the engineering, construction and operational phases of the mine site
●Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot and repair all electrical components related to the successful running of power on the mine

●Knowledge of 4160V and 600V power distribution systems, as well as 600V motor control centers and variable frequency drives
●Maintain, troubleshoot and repair VFD’s, AC/DC drives and soft starters

●Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications
●Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation (calibration, replacement, and tests as required); maintain field instrument records and standards

●Sequence checks of motors and pumps
●Conduct no-load and load run test of HV and LV motors and monitor motor integrity
●Loop verification of all instruments
●Inspection and testing of plant earthing system and its respective electrodes, using earth/ground tester and earth/ground clamp
●Compile commission report data
QA/QC
●Execute specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site
●Issue the relevant quality records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC supervisor non-conformance reports
●Checks cable laying and identification
●Redline and update as built drawings
●Perform punch-listing operations
●Check installation of instruments
●Conduct point-to-point wire checking between field control instrument and field junction boxes and between field junction boxes and marshalling cabinets prior to loop energization
