I developed and implemented security solutions for a multi-facility arena serving professional basketball teams, internationally recognized entertainment celebrities, and major events. I also managed and led the transition from an antiquated access control and video management systems to state-of-the-art systems.

I provided enterprise security risk management consulting services to domestic and international clients. I assisted clients in identifying their enterprise security risks and developing strategies to address that risk. In this way, I was able to assist my clients in their efforts to professionalize, strengthen, and increase the value of their enterprise security management programs.

I managed the Corporate Security, Facilities, and Business Continuity Departments. In so doing, I impacted all regional operations, touching most, if not all, 1,000+ company employees. . I conducted hands-on comprehensive security analysis of all company sites to determine risks and security gaps, identified problem areas, and persuaded company executives to quadruple security budget in order to provide improved security. I also managed a $30+ million annual capital budget while maintaining quality, multi-million dollar facilities representing the company’s legacy. I increased our security capabilities by updating equipment and improving / expanding overall company security apparatus encompassing all facilities and personnel.

FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (FBI)

Assistant Special Agent in Charge (Portland)

2004–2010

I was progressively promoted into more senior management roles in recognition for my demonstrated leadership and investigative skills. I directed both criminal and national-security projects in international arena including working with global and national law enforcement representatives, elected officials, and governmental decision makers. I forged positive working relationships to foster inter-agency collaboration. Acted as regional spokesperson to position FBI in best possible light to national media during high profile, sensitive cases; presented at multiple international industry conferences as official FBI subject matter expert.

I led a large-scale, highly complex, and internationally sensitive investigation that laid the groundwork for the first-ever double-conviction of an espionage subject in the history of U.S. In order to do so, I vetted a highly specialized team that operated in secret in a complicated, international case that uncovered a previously convicted spy using his son to maintain contact with Russian handlers.

I restored office morale by stepping in as division leader following departure of a predecessor. I earned a reputation as a respected, supportive leader by taking time to build staff trust through recognition efforts and rapport-generating activities.
