The New York City (City) Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has an initiative that involves replacing DSNY's legacy Sanitation Control and Analysis Network (SCAN) and related ancillary systems with a set of best-of-breed applications or software suites that will be integrated using a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach.
