Project Title Production Of “Ethyl Acetate”

Outline: In this I am studying about the concept of azeotrope as ethyl acetate is the best example. I also work on aspen plus simulation software.

Abstract: Ethyl Acetate can be produced industrially in two major ways. i. Fischer Esterification and ii. Dehydrogenation of Ethanol. Of which Fischer Esterification is selected based on the emphasis of less Temperature involved and considerably less number of unit operations involved. Thus economically feasible at larger Production rates whereas Dehydrogenation requires higher temperature and more number of Operations. Also the yield in the Fischer Esterification is more than 65%, it’s not possible to obtain such range in Dehydrogenation.
