Network Lead Primary Nurse Planner for our Approved Provider Unit. Entailed maintaining standards set forth for continuing education (CE) hours by the Ohio Nurse’s Association (ONA), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN). Developed a Nurse Planner education program and a CE audit system.
Network Lead for the KHN Professional Ladder. Required managing a large Professional Ladder that incentivizes bedside nurses to be engaged in performance improvement, evidence-based practice and research projects, as well as, advancing degrees and certification. Included organizing and executing a Consortium every April for KHN leaders and staff to view participating nurses’ projects from all KHN’s 8 hospitals and 5 free-standing ED’s. Taught Network classes to RN’s entering critical care.
Nursing Professional Development Specialist Facility Level: Greene Memorial Hospital 2011-2017
Provided education for Hospital-wide (40 bed facility, Urgent Care, Sleep Center, and Surgery Center) and Network-wide needs (8 local hospitals, 3 free-standing ED’s). Opened and maintained 2 BLS/ACLS Skills Labs. Served as Administrator of Learning Management System. Led Network NA and RN Orientation. Taught critical care classes and assisted with RN Residency. Worked ICU and Pre-Op areas as needed.
