Resume:

To the members of Branchfood,

I am contacting you regarding the position of Communications and Virtual Event intern at Branchfood. As a recent Public Relations

graduate from Suffolk University, I believe I bring the required skills, experience, and determination to excel in this role. The opportunity to gain knowledge of the virtual event planning process, assist in developing a promotional strategy with the Branchfood team, support the Branchfood team with the logistics of the event, formulate the event copy and create all visuals, among other responsibilities of this position represents the work in which I hope to be a part of.

My major in Public Relations has prepared me well for this field. I have had the opportunity to take courses such as Event Planning and Promotion, Social Media Marketing, Advertising, and Design Lab. Through these courses, I have learned many valuable skills, for example, in Event Planning and Promotion, I completed a project where I had to develop an event plan including a detailed timeline, marketing, and communications plans. In Social Media Marketing I had the task of developing various campaigns for influencers, organizations, and clients. In the Design Lab, I was taught how to use platforms such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and InDesign. Finally, in Advertising, I was taught how to reach consumers using various advertisements.

Furthermore, through my educational program, I developed a great passion for the field of event planning. Truly after creating Suffolk University’s first “Influencer Networking Reception' for the Advertising and Public Relations Social Media department I found this is my niche. I learned how to manage an event from start to finish including planning logistics, securing a venue, communicating with food vendors, developing marketing materials, promoting the event to the public, and leading a team on the day of the event. Alongside my classes at Suffolk, I held the positions of Event Planning Chairman of The National Society of Leadership and Success, and Diversity Peer Educator. These roles gave me first-hand experience in creating events whose goal was to bring Suffolk students together. As someone who identifies himself as creative, innovative,

and community-oriented I believe I would be a great asset to this team at Branchfood.

Thank you for considering my application for this position. I am confident that I can be successful in this role and I look forward to hearing from you.
