Assisted MEDLIFE on their mission to provide free healthcare to rural communities in South and Central America and provided community members with proper education on sustainable medical practices. Time was also taken towards a community project to build a kitchen for a particular family in need.

As a trip leader, I lead the University of Florida MEDLIFE chapter into a mobile clinic. Along with physicians, dentists, and pharmacists, we provided healthcare to rural communities that suffer from health disparities. Classes were also provided to teach community members valuable information to sustain the practice that was implemented in the clinic. Time was also taken towards a community project to build a water filtration system for a community that has been known to have issues with water quality.

A year-round fundraiser for the children of the University of Florida’s Miracle Network at the pediatric center that culminates into a 26.2 hour event at the university in March. Millions of dollars are raised each year and directly impact the care and research into pediatric disease.
