Responsible for daily operations of plant electrical personal for maintenance and upgrades to current plant. Develop and oversee daily maintenance plans and p.m.’s, instrument calibrations, robot maintenance and repair, oversee contractor projects and plant control system operations, programming and safety. Responsible for all plc programing and upgrades using Unity 12 in Modicon PLC’s and develop the code and graphics for the HMI system using iFix OPC. Performed all design of control systems using Allen Bradley PLC’s with various Smart Drives all networked through managed Ethernet switches to various computers and HMI screens. Also networked to several Panel View Touch Screens via DF1 protocol. All systems were connected to a central control center via multi-mode fiber and wireless Ethernet.

Army Corps of Engineers Fort Huachuca, Arizona: Design/Build, Startup, Construction Management and Inspection of all the installation of the three lift station sites and one main plant for treatment of wastewater and discharge of the treated water. Each site is controlled with an Allen Bradley PLC and a PanelView local control panel. Communication is done via fiber optics. Runs longer than two kilometers are done by single mode fiber. Main control system is Wonderware. My responsibilities also include technical support to DSWA for programming, graphics design as well as system architecture design support. Panel factory test and on-site startup is also included. Redesign of all switchgear buckets to include automation of entire site. This includes rewiring of all motor control centers to make function according to military specifications.

Current power outages have caused the need for the CAT scan machine, X-Ray machines and MRI machine to be keep on uninterrupted emergency power. A cost-effective solution will need to be found along with a cost estimate.

Tucson Electric Power Cooling Tower and Chemical System Upgrade, Tucson, AZ. Upgrade of existing cooling tower and chemical handling systems. Installed control panels, radios and Modicon plc’s to communicate with the two existing HMI systems.

Electrical and Control System Programming, Testing, Start-up, City of Glendale, AZ: Technical Consultant and Programmer. This project was a new facility design including a 4.3 mgd pump station, airport lift station, 6mgd treatment plant and ground water recharge site. Responsibilities included: Technical consulting, programming, testing, startup, construction management, electrical inspection and training. This plant won the plant of the year from Arizona Water and Pollution Control Association and the National Water and Pollution Control Association.

Control System Design, Arizona Public Service Company, Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Facility, AZ, Technical Consultant and Programmer. Assisted in programming, panel design, testing and startup for the Arizona Public Service Company, Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Facility, and Phoenix, AZ. This project was a new control system for an existing facility. Substation Multiplexer, which consisted of Modicon PLCs (2,880 points) and Intellution servers (6), networked via Ethernet and Modbus Plus fiber optics. This system also included Monahan Engineering input modules for sequence of events recording to 1 millisecond.
