CAREER SUMMARY
Senior geologist with year’s experience, specialization in the aspect of exploration of hydrocarbons, particularly petroleum.Experience in offshore and onshore Well site Geology and Measurement While Drilling and Logging activities, database management with good understanding of technical principle of Field operations, Log measurements and HPHT experience.
Also take direct responsibility for all geological services at the rig-site. In full charge of any other geologically related aspects of the drilling operation just before, during and immediately after the drilling of an oil or gas well.
Pre-well responsibilities: Personnel mobilization; reviewing all available information and data as they relate specifically to the well (well to well correlations, pressure regimes, lithology, faults and faulting features); office preparation; safety requirements; and preparation of materials / equipment for shipment.
Syn-well responsibilities: Data collection, management and syntheses; Data quality control aspects; and Geological and Geophysical contractors’ management.
Post-well responsibilities: Shipment of geological materials out of the rig; preparation of end of well reports; and generation of master geological logs.
Work Experience:

Develop work scopes for contract bids relating to subsurface operations and analyses.
Assess service contractors’ performances through Pre-qualification, Technical and Commercial stages during NAPIMS bid openings.
Develop Geological End of Well reports (EOWRs) as part of Phase 5 CPDEP requirements.
Assess and revalidating service contractor’s tickets and invoices for onward payments.
Properly land horizontal wells and geosteer same using LWD data and images.
Provide QC of bit direction (inclination and azimuth) as per well program.
Provide QC of all reports supplied by service partners.

Supervise and review work deliverables relating to mud logging, MWD/LWD, wire line, coring and biostratigraphy operations at the rig site.
Evaluating offset data before the start of drilling
Comparing actual data gathered during drilling with well prognosis
Advising on drilling hazards and drilling bit optimization.
Geosteering of horizontal and deviated wells. Interpret drilling parameters, such as rate of penetration, torque, pump pressure, and pit volumes.
Carrying out hole stability/pore pressure estimations.
Advising operations personnel on-site and in the operations office.
Advising operation team on the critical decisions including well suspension or deepening
Keeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily, weekly, and post-well reporting logs, and sending these to base office
Describe cuttings and core samples while maintaining most current lithology log.
Provide continuous qualitative evaluation of relative overbalance and estimation of pore pressure from drilling parameters, well logs and shale density.
Interpret and report hydrocarbon shows.
Determine accurate casing and coring point selection.
Ensuring compliance with all company’s policy on safety, health and environment
Achieving the geological objectives set forth in the Drilling Program
Ensuring that Contractors equipment and materials meet contractual specifications
Monitoring and supervising the sample collection process and dispatch of formation evaluation samples Safe-guarding the collection, storage and transmission of information and reports at the well-site
Ensuring well is drilled in the most safe, efficient and cost effective manner, using maximum amount of substance information under prevailing drilling conditions.
