JOB OBJECTIVES.

1. To plan, and develop, co-ordinate and direct start-up activities for the MEP projects. Provide start-up assistance at the jobsite. 2. To assist with the identification of hand over systems and the establishment of priorities and sequence of completion.

3. To review during the design and construction, phase the status of testing and punch listing to ensure systems are turned over to commissioning and start-up in a smooth, safe and efficient manner.

4. To interface with Client’s operation staff and keep them informed of system completion status.

5. To supervise, co-ordinate and review the work of assigned engineers, estimate staffing needs and schedules, and assign work to meet completion dates. 6. To prepare or direct the preparation of operations manuals. 7. To ensure that work being performed is within scope of services and within budget.

8. To input to project management, engineering, and construction to ensure start-up requirements are incorporated into MEP project activities, including review of project designs and construction to ensure plant operability and operating personnel safety.

9. To co-ordinate with client representatives to obtain approval on work as it is accomplished.

10. To review and approve key start-up methods, procedures, and schedules on MEP project(s).

11. To perform personnel evaluations for personnel supervised and ensure that they receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development. 12. Co-ordinate with the contractor and sub contractor QA&QC to ensure all documentation is handled in a correct and efficient manner. Position: MEP Commissioning Manager.

Location: Jumeriah Beach Residence JBR4 (8 Towers in total) Working on behalf of Voltas, managing all the MEP works from the installation to the Commissioning Process, working alongside Mechanical & Electrical teams that provide detailed information on the progress of the site which is then logged to the progress report and linked to the Commissioning Programme. Weekly meetings are chaired by the Commissioning Manager and minutes recorded on the progress and status of the project. The Project Commissioning Managers scope would be to bring the Data Centre from conception to a completion state, delivering the pre-requisite certifications as per the OPR specifications. This will include but not limited to the following: as built script reporting, site observation log; executive summary report; commissioning scope checklists; commissioning progress; and planning. This should be in line with the Uptime Institute tier Standard authority to 1.2 or 3 standards.
