WORK EXPERIENCE
JOB SHADOWER, PK WONG & ASSOCIATES LLC
March 2018 . 1 month
This externship gave me the opportunity to observe one of the directors of the company. It gave me a realistic picture of the tasks performed on a daily basis in a law firm specialising in insolvency.
Further to this, I was given a mock case and I spent the week talking to different professionals about the facts of the case. By the end of the week, I needed to address the ‘client’ and discuss with them the potential outcomes. It was a fun way of imitating the day-to-day work of a professional solicitor and helped us understand how to liaise with different departments.
This experience gave me the chance to make an informed decision about my career of choice as I could gain an understanding on the type of firm that PK Wong is and the routines of their employees.
It also taught me how to start networking with professionals as I met a variety of people in different positions at not only the firm but also in the State Court of Singapore.
DATA ANALYTICS VIRTUAL INTERN, KPMG AUSTRALIA
March 2020 – May 2020 . 3 months
Participated in the open-access Inside Sherpa & KPMG data analytics virtual internship program.
This internship has given me insight into data quality assessment, feature engineering, data transformations, modelling, results interpretation, reporting and visualization(Preparing Data dashboards using Tableau.)
Implemented K-means clustering algorithm to categorize data based on customer characteristics and features.
