June 2016-Present UNLV Advanced Pediatric Dentistry Department: Clinical Research

Parental Perception towards the oral health provider providing anti- bullying education to their children: Under the guidance of Dr. Christina Demopoulos, research is currently being conducted in order to provide baseline data on the scope and necessity for oral health providers to screen for bullying risk factors and collaborate to increase the prevention of bullying.

Research aims to retrieve information regarding the parental concern for bullying, concern for prevalence, understanding of the bullying protocol in schools, personal experiences with the child/dental provider, and associations between the child's behavior in school as well as in the dental clinic.

Addressed the systemic physiologic modulation of cellular immunity in health and disease, and comparative efficacy and effectiveness review and analysis for practice with the focus on patient-centered outcomes research by evidence-based dentistry.

Presentation: Stress in Health: Prevalence of Perceived Stress Among Low Income Populations. UCLA Multi-Campus Research Day, May 2010. Purpose is to investigate the rates of stress among the Saban Free Clinics, Southern California low-income patient pool.

Presentation: Substance Use Among Patients at a Community Health Center in Skid Row Los Angeles. UCLA Multi-Campus Research Day, May 2011. Purpose is to assess the rates of drug use amongst this population and demonstrate the need for drug and alcohol education.
