Prepare detailed cost estimates for proposed projects, change order proposals and for value engineering studies in accordance with regulatory requirements. Complete change order proposals for project manager approval. Review specifications and plans. Report findings and recommendations to project managers. Ensure preparation of internal cost estimates prior to issuance of change order proposal. Attend progress meetings to assist with project initiatives and schedules. Research and gather requested statistics to prepare management reports; research and analyze policies and procedures for the department. Compose general correspondence. Maintain a standards library on preferred construction materials. Maintain cost estimating tools including RS Means, The Guide, and historic pricing information and assemblies.
