I am currently enrolled as a Mining Engineer at

the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies

(UPES) pursuing an undergraduate degree. My

goal is to become a Chief Mining Engineer and

am seeking exciting opportunities related to the

same.

Internship at Cement Corporation of India

I have done a 1-month internship at CEMENT CORPORATION OF INDIA’s Open Cast Limestone mine at Rajban, Himachal Pradesh. The plant has a daily production of 1000 tons. The aim of this internship was to learn Environmental Impacts, Blasting Process & Machineries used in Open Cast Mining. The other aspects of this internship were focused on learning all the steps involved during mining and producing cement.

Minor Project: Stability of Dump Slopes in Surface Mines My minor project was over the topic Stability of Dump Slopes in Surface Mines. It was done under the guidance of Dr. Shantanu Bhowmik and the aim was to understand about the factors affecting Dump Slope Stability, Method of Stability Calculation, and how we can tackle and improve the stability.

2nd Minor project: Impact of Coal Mining on Water Quality My 2nd minor project was over the topic Impact of Coal Mining on Water Quality. I finished this project under the guidance of Dr. Nirlipta Priyadarshini Nayak with an aim to know the factors affecting the water quality in Indian coal mines. I have done a case study about the cleaning process on 2 Levels which was Drinkable & In-House Water Quality.

Industrial Visit: Hindustan Zinc Limited (Vedanta Ltd.) I got a chance to have a 3-Day field visit to Hindustan Zinc Limited in Rajpura Dariba Mine. The purpose of this visit was to know about the Methods used for Production in Underground Metal Mines. My main focus areas in this visit were to learn about Support System, Blasting Method, Multi-Step Crushing System used for the Underground mining.

Industrial Visit: Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Ltd. (EOGEPL) This visit to Essar Oil and Gas was focused on learning about Clean Coal Technologies and the process involved in production of Coal Bed Methane (CBM) and its separation. The key note which learned from this visit was CBM Extraction, Gas Gathering, Gas Compression, Production Monitoring using SCADA, Water Treatment and most important Health safety and Environmental Protection.
