Discoveries were made in regards to the notes functionality based on changes from previous version of Allscripts (which a portion of PVHS group was on an older version of Allscripts), this caused confusion among the staff.
Providers were using “Dragon” for dictation, this presented a problem at times, a process was discovered and documented to minimize this issue.
PVHS was using another system for their coumadin patients and switched to Allscripts, the Allscripts application was not as robust as what they were using previously. The coumadin workflow was re-worked and documented and all coumadin staff was re-trained.
Issue when provider switched sites, trained physicians on how to ensure they were signed on to the correct site and printing to the correct printers.
Printer issues occurred when printing scripts, had to re-install all printer drivers.
Multiple notes created, there was much education that took place to assist with this issue and a procedure was created for invalidating a note.
