M.Tech Final Year Project:-

Project Title:- Driving Reservoirs through Artificial Lift methods.

Team Volume:- 1.

Project Description:-

Artificial Lift is a process of changing reservoir pressure in oil wells in order to increase the flow of oil to the surface. As production continues, the natural reservoir pressure decline, as there is no force to push oil out. What Artificial Lift does is provide this additional drive by increasing pressure.

Artificial Lift is used in mature fields, as well as in newer fields to make projects economics work. More than 70.80% of wells use Artificial Lift worldwide. Effective Utilization of Artificial Lift requires a detailed analysis whereby almost each well feature makes a difference.

Project Title:- Simulation of EOR and Advances in Well Simulation Techniques.

Project Description:-

Petrol is a windows based software for 3D visualization, 3D mapping and 3D reservoir modelling and genera simulation. Geological models may be used to achieve accurate volume calculations to test the effect of different depositions regimes against observed data.

This project discusses and summarizes the new technology that is available in matrix acidizing and water conformance control. Retarded acid system for high temperature reservoirs that enables deeper live acid penetration is also discussed.

B.Tech Major Project:-

Project Title:- Investigation of Methane content by Coal Analysis.

Project Description:-

Methane is primarily stored in coal through adsorption on to the coal surface thus it is pore surface area that determines the maximum gas holding potential of a reservoir.

This project mainly focus on properties of coal sample like weight, volume, gas, content, porosity etc. To achieve maximum production of methane. The methane production is less expensive is unconventional reservoirs when compared to conventional reservoirs.

Participated in PRUTHVI 2K15 (A National Level Technical Symposium) and secured “First Place” for Paper Presentation

Participated in workshop on National Information System for Climate and Environmental studies (NICES) and its Activities conducted by National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO.
