HUNTINGTON INGALLS SHIPBUILDING
Electrical Designer 1
October 2019 - May 2020
I worked on the Cable Routing/SETROUTE Team. We worked with the 2D and 3D team to create plans for electrical equipment. We located and checked equipment, cables, wire ways, and penetrations on the ship. I used databases, NavisWorks, and AutoCAD to design the plans for cable routing. I used SETROUTE to ensure correct integration for electrical equipment. I routed LCL cables to equipment on the plans In AutoCAD.
STULLER INCORPORATED
CADD Internship
November 2018 - May 2019
I worked with the conceptual team to turn orthographic sketches into 3D digital models. I followed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for jewelry manufacturing to achieve quality output, uniformity and to meet the industry regulations. The main programs used where Matrix 9 plug-in for Rhinoceros 3D and Tsplines plug-in.
ABOUT ME / SKILLS
I have learned 3D computer modeling (CAD), photorealistic rendering, and rapid prototyping. I’ve also learned user needs, universal design, sustainability, human-centered design, and ergonomics. I’ve learned how to cultivate aesthetic sensibilities and improve the material conditions and the needs of people in their environments. I’ve learned drafting skills, blueprint reading, ideation sketching, visual communication, graphic layout, form development, physical model making and computer modeling making (3D and 2D design.) I have excellent collaboration skills, communication skills and problem solving skills.
I have done a vast amount of projects dealing with different materials and techniques such as plastics, metals, woods, and textile. Creating both digital and physical 3D models taught me to further refine my projects. With my knowledge I am able to generate a variety of design options.
