Eagle Scout project
oHelp our troops charter organization a remove of an old sign that was place on the property when the church was built. To make the church compliant with the Phoenix City code
Chapter 7, section 705 of the phoenix zoning Ordinance code states that only one primary sign be permitted per 300 ft. of street frontage for any Commercial Industrial or business.
Setting up a time and date well suited for the completion of the Eagle Scout project that corresponded with the charter organization time line of the event.
Made proper plains for safe staffing and all water and electrical line were marked to make sure the project was done in a timely and safe manner.
Used Wheelbarrows, shovels and a backhoe
I designed an outdoor patio misting system using PVC pipe, water pump and brass misting nozzles. The functioned off the existing water pipe from the house. This resulted in dropping the patio temperature 20 degrees.
oHigh-quality brass misting nozzles use only half a gallon of water per hour
oMister systems are a benefit in the desert climate to provide moisture and decreases the ambient temperature significantly
oI used an excel spread sheet to estimate the project cost comparing purchasing individual parts versus purchasing a kit with everything included.
I determined that it was more cost effective to purchase the individual parts then the kit with everything included.
I constructed an outdoor cornhole set that utilizes old wood pallets. This was made for entertainment purposes
oUsed belt sanders, hand held sanders, jig saws, miter saw, high impact drill
I designed and built an outdoor entertainment system
oI utilized gently used stereo equipment that I had around the house, speakers I found at goodwill, and a spare speaker cable with the intention of adding an outdoor video screen with surround sound.
I Installed a landscape irrigation system for watering roses, grass, and trees
oUsed three quarter inch PVC pipe
oUtilized Rain Bird irrigation valves and timer
