Security Control Room Operator PPS Monitoring & Reaction October 2019 - January 2020

Duties Security Control Room Operator

Worked as part of a team to operate equipment in the control room that directly affected the performance of the company and its organizational processes.

Ensure the smooth and effective day to day running of the site based Control Room function.

Keep the Security Site Manager/Supervisor informed of incidents, and ensure that agreed levels of service and contractual requirements are achieved as a minimum.

Maintain real-time logs, compile reports, and fill out detailed checklists for accurate record-keeping and accessibility for superiors.

Assist and monitor the NSIU (National Strike intervention Unit) to respond to incidents using

QT Watch Control Room Management system: QTWatch is an advanced windows based alarm and event monitoring system making full use of the advantages and diversity of mouse activated functions that gives the operator freedom to attend to human intervention functions like communication with clients and reaction units.

Giving support to intervention units with information gathered from OP Listener system.

Providing support and assurance to clients during incidents.

Ensure that all critical alarms are actioned in a timely manner.

Monitor access and egress of personnel and respond to breaches.

Responsible for the administration, issue and return of all keys and radio communication equipment.

Ensure that all incidents, which occur during the course of duties, are reported promptly and recorded within the guidelines laid down by company and efficiently dealt with.

Ensure integrity of the security systems is maintained

Ensure that the removal of goods and permit to work procedures are maintained at all times.

Comply with data protection guidelines regarding disclosure of personal and confidential information held on the security databases.

Maintained a key element of the Control Room function by utilising the technology available to ensure that as far as possible clients remained secure and any suspicious activity was noted and communicated in line with standard operating procedures.

Assist in preventing unauthorised access/egress through monitoring of using CCTV and internally noting results in the Daily occurrence log.
